every so often i am reminded that browser bookmarks exist
i haven't bookmarked a page in multiple years i think??

@alterae work has a system of "shared bookmarks" (set up as a search engine), so you can just type "department" and go to their intranet page. i got so used to it i started using firefox bookmarks as a copy of it, and a friend of mine actually made a version of it from scratch to run it on a home server thing

if it wasn't for that I'd still be googling website i want a lot

@alterae i also disable my browser history so it's bookmark it or lose it, anywhere i go semi regularly gets a bookmark in a buried "quick links" folder

@irina ah fair. i'm the opposite my browser history is long and rich and i rely on url autocompletion to things

(and then i switch browsers and don't transfer my history and the cycle begins anew)

@alterae I bookmark things all the time and I still have upwards of 750 tabs open across three windows
