@mynotaurus that's contentment and/or satiation, that's different and easier to achieve than prolonged happiness. there's a reason the US declaration of independence declares the right to the pursuit of happiness and not happiness itself (I know you're not in the US but I think the wisdom of the words still applies). also I don't think that's necessarily true, many people are just practiced at hiding it for various objectively silly reasons

@mynotaurus also, sapience means peoples' brains are totally different from each other, so it's hard to say what exactly you'd need to feel the kind of lasting contentment that people generally achieve. it could also be the depression who's to say
