like. made in japan but based on the og source. they find transfem voice actors for the relevant roles, who portray the relevant characters, but also they modify dorley so as to fit Japan (like you know, Dorley Hall is very much written to respond to UK boarding schools, the NHS is mentioned as a specific problem, the particular transphobic culture, etc)

So in one sense it’s an entirely different show which for some reason has the same western characters but anime. but it’s also the same show because transmisogyny isn’t different between places, it just changes flavor
