wondering if there’s a performance impact between using link tag prefetch and just rendering the next image on the current page, and if both methods cache the image the same way

seriously considering running nix or guix on a raspberry pi so I can push a fleet of the same image to multiple devices and idk if fedora OCIs will work for my use case, but I don’t want to learn nix and I’m pretty sure guix system won’t work on non-free hardware
